Scheme Of
Graduate Level Examination :
According to autonomous scheme
Holkar science college organizes its on examinations. for theory of every
subject 30% marks are for internal test and 70% marks are for main
examination. The internal test programme is declared from time to time to the
students It is compulsory to pass the Theory and practical examination
separately.
At least 33% marks in theory main examination
and in theory main examination and internal test 33% marks jointly are
required to declare pass.
In practical examination 33% will be pass
marks.

The assessment of division :- The
division of B.Sc. Will be decided after passing the third year of the
B.Sc. For this the marks obtained in B.Sc. Part one B.Sc. Part two and
B.Sc. Part three will be jointly considered :-

Internal text is compulsory :- On
graduate level there will be two internal tests. First internal test will
be from the first three units of the syllabus . Its weightage will be 80%
in the second internal test concerned teacher will include the remaining
two units for 20% weightage and do the total evaluation of the students.
To be eligible for the main examination the student must appear in the
first internal test or its retest in all the subjects. The students who
remain absent in the first internal test will not be eligible for the main
examination. The total obtained marks of the two internal test will be
added to main examination on the basis of 30% proportionate weightage.
If a student goes to attend a
programme after being nominated by the principal and so in unable take the
internal test , or due to some extra ordinary circumstances a student in
unable to appear in the inter test. For such students after the principal's
order a special internal test can be arranged. For this the student will have
to deposit extra fees. The case of extra ordinary circumstances will be
decided by a committee set up by the principal.
The internal test marks of
ex. Students will remain as before and their main examination with be on the
basis of current session syllabus. Such students will have no eligibility to
appear in the next session examination as ex- private candidates.
Post Graduate
Examination Scheme :
M.Sc. Examination will be
arranged by semester system. Two year syllabus is divided in four semesters.
Examination will be arranged in each semester for theory and practical
syllabus.
In theory examination
20% marks will be for internal test and 80% marks for semester main
examination. The method of internal test will be decided by the head of the
concerned department. It is expected that the students would understand the
system and form of the internal test from their heads of the departments, it
will be the responsibility of the students. For appearing in every semester
examination regular students will have to appear at least in one complete
internal test other wise they will be not eligible for the semester
examination. There will be Two internal tests in a semester. It is compulsory
to pass theory and practical examinations separately. In practical examination
like a theory examination the students will have eligibility to pass and
carry.
Minimum passing marks are 36% for second
division minimum marks are 48% and for the first class 60% marks are
compulsory. The division will be decided on the basis of marks obtained in
theory, practical and internal test marks after the fourth semester
To Pass The Examination
:-
-
In every question paper minimum 20% and 36%
of all the question paper's total marks are compulsory.
-
In semester theory main examination 36%
marks must be obtained and joing total of theory and internal test also
must be 36%.

It a student obtains 36% of the total marks
but in some paper gets less than 20% marks such student will not be
declared pass. In the paper that he secured less than 20% marks he will
have to carry the paper in the partial examination. Such student will be
studying in the next semester as a regular student will have to appear in
the main as well as in the partial examination compulsorily. Partial
examination will be held with next semester examination. If a students is
declared eligible to appear in the first semester text then he will have
to appear in the partial examination with the theory examination of the
second semester programme as declared by the institution. This arrangement
will be applicable to the remaining semester examinations.

If a student obtains less than 20% marks in
two papers he will be declared fail. Such fail student will have to appear
as ex-student in the full examination according the declared time table of
the examination. He will have to appear in the examination according to
the syllabus taught at the time for the semester. It will be the
responsibility of the ex-student to know about the current syllabus.

If a student get 20% or more marks in every
theory question papers is 36% but total of internal and theory marks is
less than 36% the student will be declared as fail . Such students will be
eligible to appear in the next session examination as ex-students. The
internal test marks of such student will be as before.

If a student gets 20% or more marks in every
Theory question paper and the total marks of theory question paper is 36%
but the total of internal and theory marks is less than 36% the student
will be declared as tail such students will be eligible to appear in the
next session on as ex-students . The internal text marks of the student
will be as before.
Some Other Points :
-
In the degree and postgraduate main
examinations maximum two answer books can be re-valued.

Revaluation is not allowed for internal
test, practical supplementary, and Carry examinations.

In semester scheme no student will be
allowed t o carry more than one question paper.

No student will be allowed to reappear in
full or partial examination to improve marks, percentage or division.

Details
-
Three grace marks can be given on
graduate level to pass the examination. To improve division one mark
can be given as special grace mark. No student can get the advantage
of the two kinds of grace marks.

On post graduate level one grace mark
can be given to pass or improve the division. No student can get the
advantage of the two kinds of grace marks.

The advantage of grace mark will not be
given for deciding the merit order.

For the degree or interim degree the
competent officer of the D.A.V.V. will have to be contacted.

Unfair means and misbehavior are punishable
if a student of the college is found using unfair means he will be
punished in the following meaner:-

Supplementary Examination :- A
student will be permitted supplementary examination only in one subject at
the graduate level. In case the student fails ever in the supplementary
examination or fails in more than one subject in the final examination he
will have to appear in all the papers of the same class as an ex-student
in the next academic session. Ex-students are required to seek guidance
regarding the arrangement of practicals from the concerned head of the
department. It is responsibility of the ex-students to obtain information
about the dates of the practical examination. For eligibility to appear in
the examination, the ex-students must get themselves registered on /
before 14 th. August.

A student declared a private
candidate (owing to any reason) is bound to pay the fees for examination
applicable to the ex-students. The fees charged is double the regular fees for
examination.
Note :- any
change in fees amount charged by the government or the university or the
college(even in the mid of the session) will be binding on all.
