   Dr. N. K. Dhakad

 has been accepted over generations of student community in whole of the central India. We have been accredited with a three star status by the National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC) in the year 2001.Since 2002 our college is declared the “Center of Excellence” by MP State Higher Education Department.

With the dawn of 21st century our institution, keeping pace with the times, has inducted new courses / subjects, as also modified and enriched the contents of on-going courses. Status of autonomy as conferred by UGC, New Delhi for over a decade has endowed us with flexibility and freedom to design course content and method of evaluation of students.

Your ward can pursue graduate courses in computer science, electronics, biotechnology, bioinformatics, microbiology, industrial fish and fishery, seed technology, pharmaceutical chemistry, biochemistry, statistics and geology at our esteemed institution. Ours is the only institution in this region which has modernized “foundation-courses” by incorporating a work-experience of general application software (MS Word, MS Excel, MS Power point, Internet) as a component from the session 2003-04. We run Post Graduate courses in about eight subjects with facility for pursuing research work. Our P.G. departments are recognized research centers for Ph. D. degree. Regular M.Phil course is available in Zoology.

The college has a rich central library, which in near future is to be converted into an E-library and Digital-library. Apart from the central library various departments have their own libraries, which cater to the specific needs of concerned departments.

The institution not only cares for the academic upliftment of the enrolled student but also for his/her physical/ extracurricular development. To make our students accountable to society and the nation at large, the college provides activities such as NSS and NCC (Armoured / Air wing) for both boys and girls. We have well maintained gymnasium and playgrounds for Cricket, Hockey, basketball, kho-kho, kabaddi and Football. Perhaps ours is the only government institution in this region, which provides hard-court tennis playing facility. The college has a Boys hostel well equipped with modern facilities. On campus medical aid to all students and employees is available through a government dispensary. Banking facilities can be availed through extension counter of State Bank of Indore located on the campus.
